5. Do you have indoor outdoor
runs?
| We do not have the combination style indoor / outdoor
runs. Our guests are taken outside 4 times daily allowing
personal interaction between the caregiver and your pet. |
5. Can we visit your facility prior to our pet's stay?
Yes we actually strongly recommend that you and your pet come for a visit. It's a great time for all to meet and discuss any specific needs for your pet.
Our tour times are:
|
Saturday & Sunday
9 am to 10 am
1 pm to 3 pm
|
6. What is the daily routine
for my pet?
| This would be a typical day in the winter. Summer allows
for much more time being spent outside as well as pool time :)
Our day at the kennel starts at 7:00 A.M. Our guests are
brought outside individually to do their business. Breakfast
is prepared and served. General housekeeping duties are taken
care of while our guests watch a little morning TV.
At approximately 11:00 A.M. our guests are accompanied to
the excercise area, again individually for play time. Play
time length can vary depending on conditions such as weather
(summer, winter), your pet's preference or if there are any
physical restrictions that you may have informed us of.
At approximately 1:00 P.M. it is quiet time. Our guests enjoy
treats and relax.
Between 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. supper is prepared and served
after which the guests are out again for their business. Once
back in they watch TV
as the caregiver once more does housekeeping duties. Time
is also spent with the guests for hugs and pats.
At around 9:00 P.M. it's time to get tucked in and once more
they are accompanied outside for their business. Everyone
gets hugs and kisses and of course biscuits for a
snack before bed.
Lights are out by about 10:00 P.M. with the radio playing
quietly in the background. Night lights are on, the security system is activated. It's good
night to all till we do it all over again in the morning.
Note: We live on the same property as the kennel. The security system is for additional safety of our guests which
allows us (the proprietors and caregivers) peace of mind. |
7. Do you provide grooming
or obedience training?
| No we do not provide these services at this time. |
8. Should I bring anything
for my pet's stay?
| We always suggest that you bring toys, blankets or other
items that your pet may be fond of. If your pet will be just
staying overnight or has a specific dietary food we suggest
that you bring the required amount for their stay plus an
added meal or two. |
9. What about dogs with special
needs like medication or physical ailments?
| Oral medication which is supplied is administered at no
extra charge. In the case that a pets activities are restricted
due to a physical ailment it is discussed when your pet arrives
for their stay. Restrictions are added to their computerized
file for easy reference by the caregiver. |
